The Philadelphia 76ers made immense amounts of noise this offseason, highlighted by the signing of star Paul George.
Still, NBA experts believe one championship contender trumped their summer. The annual NBA GM Survey released Tuesday, with "Which team made the best overall moves this offseason?" being one of the numerous questions posed.
Below is how the GMs answered:
1. Oklahoma City Thunder – 37%
2. Philadelphia 76ers – 33%
3. New York Knicks – 20%
» Also receiving votes: Brooklyn Nets, Orlando Magic, Sacramento Kings
The Thunder's offseason had a greater number of influential moves while the Sixers earned the mantle for biggest acquisition. OKC brought in lockdown guard Alex Caruso in a trade, sending Josh Giddey to the Chicago Bulls. They used their cap space to extend key role players Isaiah Joe and Aaron Wiggins while signing former Knicks big man Isaiah Hartenstein to a three-year, $87 million contract.
As for the NBA Draft, the Thunder selected Nikola Topic (No. 12), Dillon Jones (No. 26), and Ajay Mitchell (No. 38).
Bringing in George was simply the highlight of Philadelphia's summer, but their roster is much more fresh than that.
The Sixers used their plethora of cap space to re-sign/extend Kelly Oubre Jr., Tyrese Maxey, Joel Embiid, KJ Martin, and Kyle Lowry while bringing in Reggie Jackson, Andre Drummond, Guerschon Yabusele, Caleb Martin, and Eric Gordon. Their draft picks were used to select Jared McCain and Adem Bona.
This season will show if the GMs made the correct prediction, as both the 76ers and Thunder are looking to walk away with a championship ring.
