According to Bleacher Report’s Grant Hughes, San Antonio Spurs superstar center Victor Webanyama has a good chance to win the NBA triple crown this upcoming season. This past season Wemby was the Rookie of the Year and runner-up for Defensive Player of the Year.

The triple crown in the NBA is the MVP, DPOY, and being on the first team All-NBA. Wemby definitely has a shot to do this, as he was dominant in his rookie year. He averaged 21.4 points, 10.6 rebounds, four assists, three and a half blocks, and a steal per game.

As for his accolades not including the previously mentioned, he made the All-Rookie team, the All-Defensive team, and he was the blocks champion.

Wemby definitely will be on the first team All-NBA next year, and probably the DPOY as well. MVP is also doable, but he’ll have to contend with the best of the best, such as Luka Doncic, who is due to really tear up the league this year, and players like Joel Embiid, Giannis Antetokounmpo, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Nikola Jokic, Jayson Tatum, and Jaylen Brown.

In any case, Wemby definitely will have a monster sophomore season, and the league should be scared.
