The Dallas Mavericks might have eliminated the Minnesota Timberwolves in the Western Conference Finals in five games, but the future is still bright for the latter.
The Timberwolves won 56 games in the regular season within one game of the number one seed Oklahoma City Thunder. They took a lot of positive steps forward this year and the core of the roster is still very young.
The biggest star on the Timberwolves is guard Anthony Edwards who has an incredible charisma and personality. He just asked for Dallas Cowboys star edge rusher Micah Parson's shoe size so he could gift him a pair of his signature shoes. After the game, Edwards was asked about why they fell short and he ignored the question with five simple words.

“We’ll be back next year.”
That is a superstar. There is a reason why Edwards has been compared to Michael Jordan. That confidence is on a different level and is special. Edwards also talked about how this experience showed him what he needs to do to train for the playoffs next year.
Ant: "Now I know in order for me to be dominant ... I've got to train like I'm going to go (deep) into the playoffs. ... Now that I know what it takes, I'll be ready."
