According to Bobby Manning of CLNS, Boston Celtics sophomore Jordan Walsh could earn a spot on the main Boston roster. He still has room to grow, but he could bring some things to this team.
As a rookie, Walsh spent most of his time in the G-League with the Maine Celtics, where he did very well. He averaged around 15 points, seven and a half rebounds, and one and a half assists per game. In the nine games he played in Boston, he averaged a little under two points a game.
In this preseason, Walsh has shined. In the game against the Philadelphia 76ers, he had 11 points, two rebounds, and an assist in 12 minutes. Against the Toronto Raptors, Walsh had a double-double with 16 points and 10 rebounds in 30 minutes.
Walsh has proven he can score and rebound well, and can come in to relieve the wings when needed. He could be a key bench player to another Celtics championship.
Walsh and the Celtics play their final preseason game tomorrow against the Toronto Raptors at 7pm EST.
