Atlanta Hawks superstar Trae young believes he could have been the goat if he was 6’8, per the Millions Worth of Game podcast. He said this after talking about how tall players can play at the highest level because they are tall.

“If I was 6’8, I feel like I would be the best player ever to play this game,” said Young. “My mentality, the way I play, just the smartness I have for this game. I feel like there is a lot I can bring, but there’s a lot of deficiencies, because I’m 6’2. It’s tough; I’m playing in a big man’s game.

Trae is a multiple time All-Star, and has career averages of 25.5 points, 3.6 rebounds, 9.5 assists, and a steal per game. He is a multiple-time All-Star, and has made an All-NBA team.

Would he be the GOAT if he was 6’8? No, but he definitely would be an all-time player. With his offensive skill and being 6’8, he would be a hybrid of Magic Johnson and Steph Curry. His defense is atrocious, so he would have to work on that to be even considered the GOAT. He also has to win a title, and he is stuck on one of the most mediocre teams in the NBA that just can’t trade him.
