After sweeping the Miami Marlins and winning four in a row, the Boston Red Sox have remained on the road for the first of three games with the New York Yankees at Yankee Stadium on Friday.
For the matchup, Boston will send Tanner Houck to the mound while New York will counter with Nester Cortes.

Houck has been great this year, posting a 2.67 ERA (sixth in baseball) and a 1.02 WHIP (15th) while striking out 105 (tied for 18th) in his 17 starts. His last outing was his work of the year, allowing eight runs (seven earned) over 4 1/3 innings to the San Deigo Padres. Only three Yankees have hits off of him in his career - Aaron Judge (3-for-9 with a walk), Gleyber Torres (5-for-19 with a home run, two RBIs and a walk) and Jose Trevino (1-for-3).
Cortes has been good for New York in his 18 starts, recording a 3.51 ERA and a 1.10 WHIP while striking out 98. He's allowed three or fewer runs over his last four starts. Six Red Sox have hits off of him - Devers (3-for-11 with two home runs, five RBIs and a walk), Duran (1-for-1), McGuire (1-for-4), Refsnyder (6-for-10), Smith (1-for-3) and Wong (1-for-4 with an RBI).
