The New York Yankees are just about set to host the Kansas City Royals for Game 1 of the American League Division Series.

After the Royals swept the Baltimore Orioles in a best-of-three wild-card series earlier this week, they travel to The Bronx to kick off a best-of-five series against the Yankees.

On the mound for the Yankees will be ace Gerrit Cole while the Royals will counter with right-hander Michael Wacha, who has had immense success against the Yankees throughout his career.

The Game 1 lineup for the Yankees includes a slight tweak with Oswaldo Cabrera getting the start at first base in place of the injured Anthony Rizzo. Meanwhile, Alex Verdugo gets the start in left field over Jasson Dominguez.

New York Yankees starting lineup

  1. Gleyber Torres, 2B
  2. Juan Soto, RF
  3. Aaron Judge, CF
  4. Austin Wells, C
  5. Giancarlo Stanton, DH
  6. Jazz Chisholm Jr., 3B
  7. Anthony Volpe, SS
  8. Oswaldo Cabrera, 1B
  9. Alex Verdugo, LF

First pitch in The Bronx is set for 6:38 p.m. ET.
