The New York Yankees haven't looked like themselves this weekend in hosting the Los Angeles Dodgers in the Bronx.

After dropping the series opener Friday night in 11 innings, the Yankees came back Saturday looking to exact some revenge. Even though Aaron Judge hit two home runs, it wasn't nearly enough as the Dodgers came away with an 11-3 win.

Without Juan Soto, who continues to rest due to forearm inflammation, the Yankees offense couldn't come through in key situations. They collected 10 hits, but they also were 0-for-7 with runners in scoring position and left 10 men on base.

Gavin Stone got the call for the Dodgers, tossing 5.2 innings pitched, allowing eight hits, two earned runs and two walks while striking out six. His only blemish was a solo home run given up against Judge in the bottom of the third inning.

No help for Aaron Judge

The Yankees captain was without his bash brother yet again. Even though Judge provided some life with his 22nd home run in the bottom of the third inning, the Yankees simply couldn't come through in the high-leverage situations.

He tied the game in the third inning with a shot to left field.

But when his second home run came around in the bottom of the ninth inning, the game was already well out of hand.

Teoscar Hernandez has something against the Yankees

If there has been an MVP of this series thus far, there would be no debate. Hernandez came through Friday night with a go-ahead double in the 11th inning to give the Dodgers the win in the first game.

He followed that up Saturday night by hitting two home runs, including a dagger grand slam in the top of the eighth inning to deflate the Yankees entirely.

Hernandez has eight RBI in this series alone after his incredible performance Saturday night.

Nestor Cortes still struggling to dominate

While Cortes pitched into the sixth inning, he still hasn't had his dominant stuff in a while. His struggles on the road have been concerning, but he's been able to counter them with better numbers at home. It wasn't a terrible outing by any means Saturday night, but it was the type of performance the Yankees have come accustomed to seeing.

Cortes pitched 5.1 innings, giving up seven hits, four earned runs and one walk while striking out four. He gave up two home runs and threw 83 pitched before being pulled in the sixth inning.
