New York Yankees' Jon Berti exits game after scary injury image

New York Yankees infielder Jon Berti exited Friday night's win against the San Diego Padres early due to a scary injury.

In the top of the ninth, Berti went down immediately after running out of the batter's box. He was on the ground in immense pain and eventually had to be helped off the field.

It was clear Berti couldn't put any weight on his left foot as he was being helped off the field.

Yankees manager Aaron Boone said after the game that it's a calf injury and that Berti is likely headed to the injured list. He said a move would be made, but that they also wouldn't rush DJ LeMahieu back from his current rehab stint.

It isn't clear how serious the injury is, but it certainly didn't look good. Hopefully, it's not as serious as it looked.
