New York Yankees star Juan Soto triumphantly returned to San Diego for the first time since the blockbuster trade in December, and he had a bit of fun with Padres outfielder Fernando Tatis Jr.
Even though Soto's first at-bat was met with a mixed reaction of cheers and boos, he still has a close connection with several players still on the Padres roster. Tatis is chiefly among those players.
During the eighth inning, Soto was seen leaving a note in right field for Tatis to see before he ran off in between innings.
Soto was asked after the game what the note said. He declined to give an answer, but he did mention he saw Tatis laugh at the note.

And of course, once MLB fans caught wind of it, they came together to put their best guesses as to what the note said. They didn't disappoint.

What was on the note may never be revealed, but there's still plenty of love between the former teammates.
