The Boston Red Sox downed the New York Yankees 8-4 on Saturday night at Fenway Park.

Boston earned the victory while wearing their yellow City Connect jerseys, which confused and upset viewers who hadn't witnessed them wearing them the first 41 times the team wore them since 2021.

Interestingly, the Red Sox have been incredible while donning the yellow, as they've gone 33-9 (.786 winning percentage) in those games. It's even more impressive when you consider Boston has just a 284-273 record (.510 winning percentage) since the start of the 2021 season.

Alex Cora's squad has been wearing the City Connects for Saturday home games in 2024, but in the past, they've broken them out when they've felt like they needed to win. That's how much they believe in them.

So, while they may look different than the classic uniforms, the players seem to play better in yellow and blue.
