Red Sox record at Fenway continues to worsen; now almost in the top 15 worst seasons at home image

The Boston Red Sox just can’t make it work at home this season, losing their fourth game in a row at Fenway. This puts them at 29-35 at Fenway, which is a 45% win rate at home.

This is also not just applicable to home games as well. Since the All-Star break, the Sox have gone 14-21. In their past 15 games, they are a measly 4-11.

The Red Sox this year have also almost broken into the top 15 worst seasons at home in the team's history, sitting at no. 16 in the modern era.

It should be expected, when the Sox’s supposed best players in Triston Casas, Trevor Story, and Lucas Giolito were all injured for the season or a large portion of it.

The Sox are also now five games behind in the Wildcard race, behind the Minnesota Twins and another half-game behind the Kansas City Royals. The Sox have 32 games left, and need to go 20-12 while the Royals need to go 14-17 or worse to secure the Wildcard spot. As for the Twins, it’s a little harder because the Sox would lose the tiebreaker, so they need to be fully ahead of them.
