Red Sox pitching gets blown up by Diamondbacks and lose 12-2 image

The Boston Red Sox were absolutely defeated by the Arizona Diamondbacks 12-2 today, and the Sox’s offense and defense were abysmal. Their record at Fenway is equally as abysmal, going 29-33 at home.

Brayan Bello was the starter, and he didn’t do as well as expected. He gave up two runs in the first, and then gave up another in the sixth. Then the bullpen came in, and did their usual of getting blown up, giving up nine runs.

The offense was no better, as the only runs came off a Wilyer Abreu double in the first, and a Rob Refsnyder solo shot.

The Red Sox will have a chance at redemption and to make the series tied tomorrow at 4PM EST.
