The Boston Red Sox lose the second game of the series to the Baltimore Orioles 5-3. The amazing offense they had last game just vanished for this one.
Kutter Crawford pitched a good game, and as usual the offense didn’t show up for him. He went six and third innings, and got six strikeouts giving up three runs.
The Sox were only able to score one run in the fourth, and then two more off a hit and a balk. Otherwise, it was all whiffs, flyouts and pop-ups. They almost rallied in the ninth, but fell short.
The relievers also staggered this game, giving up two more runs after Crawford left the game. They looked so much better yesterday, and now they are back to normal.
The Red Sox will host the Orioles for the final time this season and the rubber match tomorrow at 7:10pm EST.
