After the Boston Red Sox were defeated by the Philadelphia Phillies 4-1 on Tuesday night at Fenway Park, the two teams are meeting together on Wednesday for the middle of this three-game series.

For the matchup, Boston will send right-handed pitcher Nick Pivetta to the mound while Philadelphia will counter with lefty Cristopher Sanchez.

Here's what Alex Cora's lineup will look like for Game 2:

  1. Jarren Duran LF
  2. Rob Refsnyder RF
  3. Tyler O’Neill DH
  4. Rafael Devers 3B
  5. Connor Wong C
  6. Jamie Westbrook 2B
  7. Bobby Dalbec 1B
  8. David Hamilton SS
  9. Ceddanne Rafaela CF

Pivetta has been solid for the Red Sox so far this year, posting a 3.40 ERA and a 0.94 WHIP in his eight starts. His last outing against the Atlanta Braves (one hit, two walks, no runs and nine strikeouts over seven innings) was his best of the season thus far. He's allowed hits to three Phillies in his career - David Dahl (1-for-2 with a home run, a walk and three RBIs), Bryce Harper (3-for-11 with two home runs, four walks and three RBIs) and Whit Merrifield (3-for-12 with a home run, a walk and two RBIs).

Sanchez has been great for Philadelphia in his 12 starts, recording a 2.71 ERA (11th in baseball) and a 1.34 WHIP. The 27-year-old has allowed one run or fewer in his last three outings. Only two active Red Sox have ever recorded hits off of him - Devers (1-for-2) and O'Neill (1-for-3).
