The Boston Red Sox, after a day off, are set to host the Philadelphia Phillies for the first of three games at Fenway Park on Tuesday.

For the matchup, Boston will send Kutter Crawford to the mound while Philadelphia will counter with Zack Wheeler.

Here's what Alex Cora's lineup will look for the opener, which, for the first the first time in over a month, will include Masataka Yoshida:

  1. Jarren Duran LF
  2. David Hamilton SS
  3. Rob Refsnyder RF
  4. Rafael Devers 3B
  5. Masataka Yoshida DH
  6. Connor Wong C
  7. Dominic Smith 1B
  8. Enmanuel Valdez 2B
  9. Ceddanne Rafaela CF

Crawford has been all right for Boston this year, posting a 3.51 ERA and a 1.18 WHIP, but he's struggled recently, allowing 20 earned runs in his last five starts. No member of the Phillies' roster has ever faced him.

Wheeler has been great for Philadelphia in his 13 starts in 2024, recording a 2.23 ERA (eighth in baseball) and a 0.97 WHIP (ninth). He's allowed hits to five Red Sox in his career - Devers (1-for-5 with an RBI), Duran (1-for-3), Valdez (1-for-2), Yoshida (1-for-3) and Smith (13-for-31 with a home run, five RBIs and a walk).
