The Boston Red Sox are getting one of their injured players back, as they've activated designated hitter Masataka Yoshida from the 10-day injured list.

Yoshida was placed on the list back on May 1 with a left thumb strain after hitting .275 with two home runs, 11 RBIs and a .736 OPS in his first 24 games of the season.

To make room on the roster, Boston had designated first baseman Garrett Cooper for assignment.

In his 24 games with the Red Sox, Cooper hit an abysmal .171 with a .455 OPS and five RBIs.
