The Boston Red Sox fell to the Detroit Tigers today 2-1 after taking and blowing an early lead. The Sox offense just couldn’t show up like they did yesterday.
The Sox offense to their credit faced the man in first place for the AL Cy Young, Tarik Skubal. The Sox were lucky to get a dinger off of him by Tyler O’Neill, who put the ball out of play in the top of the 1st.
The Tigers managed to get two runs off Nick Pivetta, who pitched a decent game, it’s just like stated earlier, the offense didn’t show up for him. Pivetta pitched six innings, and struck out six.
The Sox will play the rubber match against the Tigers tomorrow at 1:40pm EST.
