Fantasy football Week 5 DFS lineup picks: Best stacks for DraftKings, FanDuel contests image

What's better than getting big passing, rushing, or receiving performances in your Week 5 daily fantasy football lineups on DraftKings and FanDuel? Trying to double or triple up your scoring potential with smart DFS stacks of multiple players or entities from the same team.

The best stacks don't always include the biggest stars, as advised below, but finding lower-rostered, productive gems is another key to winning in DFS.

Let's take a look at the best correlated DFS combinations to consider when trying to maximize points in cash games and take down some big tournaments during Sunday's 1 p.m. ET main slate.

Week 5 DraftKings, FanDuel Picks: Best stacks for daily fantasy football tournaments

Best QB-WR stack

Buffalo Bills
Josh Allen ($7,700 DK, $9,300 FD)
Keon Coleman ($4,700 DK, $5,400 FD)

Allen will be motivated with ex go-to guy Stefon Diggs on the Texans' sideline and show that the Bills are just fine at wide receiver, moving on with their young group led by the rookie second-rounder. Look for the Bills to scheme Coleman open for some chunk plays in what should be a high-volume passing duel between Allen and C.J. Stroud.

Best QB-TE stack

Chicago Bears
Caleb Williams ($5,800 DK, $7,200 FD)
Cole Kmet ($4,300 DK, $5,200 FD)

Williams and Kmet cooled off together against the Rams because the Bears had too much fun with their running game and defense. Back at home against the Panthers, there should be plenty of short-to-intermediate passing room available for Williams to hit Kmet often.

WEEK 5 FANTASY ROSTER MANAGEMENT ADVICE

Best RB-Defense Stack

New England Patriots
Rhamondre Stevenson ($6,000 DK, $6,700 FD)
Patriots D/ST ($2,900 DK, $4,100 FD)

Stevenson needs volume and scoring to be a worthy RB2 play, and that's been hard to come by with negative game scripts and a limited offense so far. That won't be the issue against the Dolphins, who have a wilting run defense and no longer an explosive offense minus Tua Tagovailoa. The latter development also will help Jerod Mayo's defense play well at home.

Best "Onslaught" Stack

San Francisco 49ers
Brock Purdy ($6,200 DK, $7,700 FD)
Deebo Samuel ($6,800 DK, $8,000 FD)

Brandon Aiyuk ($6,300 DK, $6,700 FD)

Purdy and Samuel make a ton of sense here as a hot connection working over the intermediate coverage of the Cardinals. Aiyuk has been very quiet to start after signing his big contract but seeing Arizona often helps the Arizona State product get going. It's a little contrarian, but Aiyuk is overdue to rip into such a favorable matchup.

WEEK 5 DFS ADVICE

Week 5 NFL DFS Picks: Top cash game stacks for DraftKings, FanDuel

Best QB-WR stack

Green Bay Packers
Jordan Love ($6,500 DK, $8,200 FD)
Jayden Reed ($6,500 DK, $87200 FD)

Love and Reed will be busy connecting often against the reeling Rams' pass defense who cannot handle the Packers' downfield passing game or Reed's versatility. This duo is the engine that cranks up Matt LaFleur's offense.

Best RB-Defense stack

Seattle Seahawks
Kenneth Walker III ($6,800 DK, $7,400 FD)
Seahawks D/ST ($3,500 DK, $4,800 FD)

Walker was awesome in his return from injury in Detroit on Monday night and won't slow down much against the Giants at home. The Seahawks' defense will tee off on Daniel Jones, seeking out multiple sacks and takeaways.
