Things haven't been great for the Minnesota Vikings off the field the last month. One of those incidents involved wide receiver Jordan Addison who was arrested on suspicion of DUI the week after Fourth of July.
Over the last few weeks, there has been a lot of speculation about the incident. The police report didn't mention anything about alcohol or drugs, which has increased the amount of speculation on the subject.
For the first time, Addison spoke to the media about the incident and seemed to have a lot of contrition.
Jordan Addison, on his focus right now: "Be a great teammate. Be a great son. Be a great brother. And just keep learning from my mistakes. I ain’t got it all figured out right now. But you know, I’m just going to keep moving forward.” https://t.co/dWxNdLAhxZ

Addison's words are what you want to hear from a player who has made mistakes. The question is: do they mean anything? From those who were there, it feels like they do, especially since Addison appears to be taking this seriously.
The future for Addison is unclear in terms of punishment, but things feel like they are going in the right direction.
