If we are to believe what we hear and see, then the Achilles is as good as new.

New York Jets' quarterback Aaron Rodgers followed up a practice round with 54 holes of competitive golf at Edgewood Tahoe last week. With his surgery-repaired Achilles holding up throughout the three-round American Century Championship, the 40-year-old Rodgers totaled 46 points to finish 15th overall in the annual celebrity golf tournament.

In addition to his ability to play the course that sits 6,200 feet above sea level, Rodgers provided more evidence that his Achilles has regained full strength.

On Saturday, the four-time NFL MVP took a moment in between golf shots to shoot hoops. While walking the course, Rodgers caught a basketball passed to him from the gallery and launched a shot toward a hoop set up in the spectator area deep behind the barricades. While launching a right-handed hook shot, he took off from his left foot and looked comfortable doing so.

One day earlier, Rodgers stopped for a quick on-camera interview that NBC shared on the social media site now known as X.

"My Achilles feels good. I felt really good at the end of last year. Then, there's kind of, there's that kind of plateau part. It's just about getting back into it. I felt good all spring, had a nice OTAs," said Rodgers.

Set for his 20th pro season, Rodgers has practiced plenty but has not seen NFL game action since rupturing his Achilles four offensive snaps into the 2023 opener. He participated in voluntary Jets' OTAs practices with no team-imposed physical limitations.

Rodgers and his fellow veterans are scheduled to arrive at training camp on July 23 in Florham Park.
