India will be entering the Olympic Games in Paris with a six-member strong boxing contingent. So far, India has won only three Olympic medals in the boxing event in history.
The last Indian boxer to have stood at the podium is Lovlina Borgohain, who won the bronze medal in the women’s 69 kg weight category at the Tokyo Olympics.

Apart from Borgohain the other two boxers to have won Olympic medals are the legendary Mary Kom who won bronze at the London 2012 Olympics and Vijender Singh who became the first boxer to win an Olympic medal for India in boxing. He also won bronze by defeating Ecuador's Carlos Gongora at the Beijing 2008 Olympics.
Out of the three only Lovlina will be representing the tri-colour once again at the Olympic Games in Paris, this time competing in the 75 kg weight class.
