The year 2024 certainly belonged to wicket-keeper batter Rishabh Pant who staged a remarkable comeback to cricket after his horror accident in December 2022.

After remaining sidelined for more than a year, Pant returned to competitive cricket during IPL 2024 and represented Delhi Capitals. He was then picked in India's T20 World Cup squad where he played a crucial role in Men in Blue bagging the title and thus ending a 13-year-long ICC trophy drought.

Is Rishabh Pant leaving Delhi Capitals?

With the IPL 2025 mega auction on the horizon, there have been speculations over the future of several Indian star players with their existing franchises. Pant too has been linked with a move away from his current team Delhi Capitals with RCB being one of the names that cropped up to sign the star player.

However, DC co-owner Parth Jindal recently confirmed that the franchise intends to retain the services of their captain and star player.

On Friday, Pant further fuelled the speculations by sharing a cryptic message on X (formerly Twitter) as he vaguely hinted that he might part ways with DC.

Pant's X post read, "If  go to the auction. will I be sold or not and for how much ??"

How did fans react to Rishabh Pant's post on X?

While a section of fans were elated to see Pant's availability in the market, some of them refused to believe that such news would be shared on social media by the player in a casual manner.

It remains to be seen if the player actually decides to part ways with DC ahead of the IPL 2025 mega auction which is set to take place in the end of November or early December.
