The Indian Premier League (IPL) has seen some high-octane batting over the years. From Chris Gayle to Nicholas Pooran, the League has seen some blistering knocks.
West Indies batter Pooran scored the fastest fifty of IPL 2023 when he brought up his half-century in 15 balls against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB). His 19-ball 62 helped Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) defeat RCB by one wicket in a last-ball thriller on April 10.

It was also the joint-third fastest in IPL history. Sunil Narine and Yusuf Pathan have also scored half-centuries off as many balls. KL Rahul and Pat Cummins hold the record for the second-fastest IPL fifty (14 balls).
However, the fastest fifty in the history of IPL belongs to young Rajasthan Royals batter Yashasvi Jaiswal who scored a blistering 50 off 13 balls against Kolkata Knight Riders on May 11, 2023.
Jake Fraser-McGurk has taken IPL 2024 by storm. He has scored two 15-ball half-centuries so far. The latest was in the match against Mumbai Indians on Saturday.
