The 2024 ICC T20 World Cup is set to kick off in a few days, and the latest team to have announced their squad for the same are the Pakistan Cricket Team. The runners-up of the 2022 edition of the tournament will be flying to the United States and the West Indies under the leadership of Babar Azam. 

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) announced the team squad on Friday, May 24, just a day before the deadline to submit the squads to the ICC. After such a delayed announcement, fans have been left to wonder who the vice-captain of the team will be as there has been no update on the matter from PCB.

Pakistan have just announced Babar Azam as the captain without any vice-captain, resulting in cricketing enthusiasts having taken it to social media, expressing their concern over the issue.

Chairman Mohsin Naqvi had already expressed his displeasure about the selection process and had delayed the announcement, but it is just shocking to see how they have not announced a vice-captain for the team.
