In an unexpected triumph, the USA cricket team made headlines by defeating Pakistan in their T20 World Cup opener.

USA pacer Ali Khan now believes they can do it again, expressing confidence in his team's ability to replicate that success.

Can USA beat Pakistan again?

In a recent video shared on social media, Pakistan-origin USA pacer Ali Khan confidently stated that his team has the potential to beat Pakistan once again, should the two teams meet in a future encounter.

Reflecting on their current form, Khan emphasized that the USA has a well-balanced squad capable of competing against top teams when at full strength. 

"We are capable enough of beating them (Pakistan) again. No disrespect to them, but I think we are a really good side, if we have a full-strength squad we can beat any team on our day, not just Pakistan but it will be a great game of we play them again," Ali Khan said.

How did USA edge out Pakistan in the T20 World Cup?

In their T20 World Cup opener, USA faced Pakistan in a tense battle that ended in a Super Over thriller.

Pakistan, led by Babar Azam, put up a competitive total of 159 runs with contributions from both Babar and Shadab Khan.

USA, however, responded strongly, with their skipper Monank Patel scoring 50 runs and Andries Gous adding 35.

Despite the efforts of Pakistan pacers Shaheen Afridi, Haris Rauf, and Amir, USA managed to tie the game, taking it to a Super Over.

In the Super Over, Aaron James played a crucial role, scoring 11 runs off 6 balls, and USA capitalized on several wide deliveries from Mohammed Amir to set a target of 18 runs.

Saurabh Netravalkar then bowled a brilliant Super Over, limiting Pakistan’s batsmen and securing a 5-run victory for the USA.
