Shahid Afridi raises question over Azam Khan's fitnesss

Three wicketkeepers have been named in the Pakistan squad; Mohammad Rizwan, Azam Khan and Usman Khan. In recent matches, both Rizwan and Azam have played in the same lineup, with the latter preferred behind the stumps. At the World Cup as well, Usman is likely to warm the bench.

However, on Sunday, former Pakistan captain Shahid Afridi expressed his thoughts on Pakistan's wicketkeeping situation. Speaking to Samaa, he said,

When it comes to fitness, I would never allow Azam Khan anywhere near the team. I will also praise him, because he is strong, he hits the ball well. But for wicketkeeping, in places like England the ball carries well but in West Indies, it will stay low and he might struggle.

Azam Khan's fitness has been a hot topic of discussion ever since he came on the scene for Pakistan. As a T20 specialist, he is an aggressive batter, with the potential to take games away from the opposition. However, there have always been questions over his size and whether it may hinder him and the team in the field.
