Aussie duo Pat Cummins and Mitchell Starc garnered the largest bids in the mini-auction and in fact in IPL history as they were signed by Sunrisers Hyderabad and Kolkata Knight Riders for Rs 20.5 crore and Rs 24.75 crore respectively.

All 30 overseas slots were filled, with a total of 72 players securing contracts. Mumbai Indians, Kolkata Knight Riders and Delhi Capitals secured four overseas players each.

Among them are some special cricketers who have not played in the IPL before but got big-money contracts during the mini-auction in December 2023.

Rachin Ravindra

CSK's first overseas buy was Kiwi all-rounder Rachin Ravindra for Rs 1.80 crore. He has been a sensation in the international circuit and his World Cup experience would aid him in his maiden IPL season. 

Dilshan Madushanka

Dilshan Madushanka, the left-arm fast bowler from Sri Lanka, is set to bolster the Mumbai Indians' bowling lineup in the IPL 2024 season. Acquired for Rs 4.6 crore in the IPL auction, Madushanka brings with him the ability to swing the ball and pick up crucial wickets. His addition to the Mumbai Indians squad adds depth to their bowling attack and provides them with a formidable option in the pace department.

Gerald Coetzee

Gerald Coetzee, the talented pacer from South Africa, attracted attention with his impressive performance in the ODI World Cup 2023. Shamar Joseph

Azmatullah Omarzai
