Pakistan are one of the favourites to lift the trophy, going into the T20 World Cup. Babar Azam & Co. would be aiming for the ultimate prize, after their elimination from the group stages at the recent ODI World Cup in 2023.

The South Asian giants finished runners-up in the previous edition of the T20 World Cup and would be raring to step forward this time. Pakistan are currently touring England for a four-match T20I series, as they look to prepare for the flagship competition. 

In a press conference ahead of the 3rd T20I in Cardiff, Pakistan speedster Haris Rauf spoke about Pakistan's chances at the upcoming ICC competition.

What did Haris Rauf say about Pakistan's chances at the T20 World Cup?

Haris Rauf sounded confident about his team's chances at the upcoming World Cup. Speaking in the pre-match press conference, Rauf claimed that they are capable of beating any team in the world.

He said,

Pakistan can defeat any opposition on any given day. and we can do that comprehensively. We want to win the World Cup and give our fans a reason to smile.

When will Pakistan play their first game at the World Cup?

Being placed in Group A alongside USA, Ireland, Canada, and arch-rivals India, Pakistan can believe to have a shot at the knockout rounds. Babar Azam will lead his men for the first time at the 2024 World Cup, in a game against the United States of America (USA).

Pakistan will face the hosts on Thursday, June 06, at the Grand Prairie Stadium in Dallas. The match will begin at 21:00 hours (IST).
