BCCI

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) are in the hunt for a new leader in the shortest format. The urgency has come up, after T20 World Cup-winning skipper, Rohit Sharma announced his retirement from the format after the triumph on June 29 in Barbados.

Hardik Pandya, India's vice-captain at the 2024 WC, is one of the able candidates to replace the outgoing Rohit Sharma. Pandya has not only captained Gujarat Titans to IPL glory but has also had a fair stint as India's T20I captain.

Moreover, he was also roped in as Mumbai Indians' skipper ahead of IPL 2024, and will only grow in stature in his leadership role.

As the search for a successor intensifies, let us look at the captaincy record of Hardik Pandya in the T20 format for India.
