He posted a photo on Instagram, ahead of the BCCI selection committee meeting for choosing India's T20 captain on Thursday. In the collage he posted, the left one was from the injury period during 2023. Meanwhile, a recent picture from July 2024 shows the cricketer developed abs and is way more fit now.

Pandya's Instagram post is a clear message to the BCCI top brass, as he hopes to win the battle against Suryakumar Yadav for India's T20 captaincy role. It is reported that newly-appointed head coach, Gautam Gambhir prefers SKY over 'alpha-male' Hardik Pandya.

Was a difficult journey after the freak 2023 WC injury but well worth the effort with the T20 WC win. The results come as long as you put in the effort. Hard work doesn’t go unnoticed. Let’s all try our best and work on our fitness 💪, Hardik Pandya captioned his fitness transformation post on Instagram.
