Manchester United could make a shock move to sign France international Adrien Rabiot on a free transfer.
The Red Devils splurged in the summer transfer market, as part of a squad revamp by Erik ten Hag, including a deadline day deal to bring in Uruguay star Manuel Ugarte from Paris Saint-Germain.
However, with a mixed start to the season dominating the headlines at Old Trafford, more changes are expected in the coming months.

Casemiro has been held up as a symbol of the team's struggles with the Brazil veteran linked with a departure after a nightmare performance in 3-0 Premier League loss to Liverpool before the international break.
Despite links to Turkey before their transfer window closes, Casemiro is expected to remain in place until at least the end of 2024, with the situation revisited in the January window.
As per reports from Teamtalk.com, United are already planning for life without Casemiro, and move for Rabiot would add experience to their engine room if the former Real Madrid star moves on.
Rabiot is available on a free transfer, outside of the transfer window, following the expiration of his Juventus contract in July.
Transfer guru Fabrizio Romano has indicated Rabiot is not interested in a move to Turkey or Saudi Arabia as he wants to remain in one of Europe's top five leagues.
🚨🇫🇷 Similar to Turkey, Adrien Rabiot has also currently no plans to accept any proposal from Saudi Pro League.

United are rumoured to be ready to start preliminary talks with Rabiot's representatives if they are convinced by the 29-year-old's willingness to make the move to Manchester.
