Fantasy football Week 2 DFS lineup picks: Best stacks for DraftKings, FanDuel contests image

What's better than getting big passing, rushing, or receiving performances in your Week 2 daily fantasy football lineups on DraftKings and FanDuel? Trying to double or triple up your scoring potential with smart DFS stacks of multiple players or entities from the same team.

Week 2's main DFS slate is back to being full with 13 games and 26 teams, so it's important to focus on the top values. The best stacks don't always include the biggest stars, as advised below, but finding lower-rostered, productive gems is another key to winning in DFS.

Let's take a look at the best correlated DFS combinations to consider when trying to maximize points in cash games and take down some big tournaments during Sunday's 1 p.m. ET main slate.

Week 2 DraftKings, FanDuel Picks: Best stacks for daily fantasy football tournaments

Best QB-WR stack

Detroit Lions
Jared Goff ($6,400 DK, $7,800 FD)
Jameson Williams ($5,300 DK, $75700 FD

Goff and Williams got warmed up with a big deep shot TD against the Rams despite a quiet overall night passing for the former. Back at home, the Lions can attack a vulnerable downfield secondary outside better than the compressed Commanders did last week. Look for another pleasing hookup with Williams who is expected to play through his ankle injury.

WEEK 2 FANTASY RANKINGS
QBs | RBs | WRs | TEs | D/STs | Kickers

Best QB-TE stack

San Francisco 49ers
Brock Purdy ($6,100 DK, $7,300 FD)
George Kittle ($5,500 DK, $6,400 FD)

By the numbers, because the Vikings played the Giants, Minnesota gave up nothing to quarterbacks and tight ends. But that will change quickly with Purdy and Kittle going to work in Minny as a dangerous downfield connection after a quiet Week 1 in a tough spot. Kittle won't get to see good buddy T.J. Hockenson on the field, so he'll double the CyHawk fun with his QB just up the road from Ames and Iowa City.

Best RB-Defense Stack

Los Angeles Chargers
Gus Edwards ($5,200 DK, $6,100 FD)
D/ST ($3,400 DK, $4,400 FD)

J.K. Dobbins is bound to be highly-rostered, and the Chargers' defense can build on a strong sack and takeaway performance in Carolina vs. Bryce Young and the Panthers. But Edwards is a nice pivot as the game should not be close, and Edwards should be a busy closer with a shot at multiple cheap short TDs.

Best "Onslaught" Stack

Arizona Cardinals
Kyler Murray ($6,600 DK, $8,000 FD)
Marvin Harrison Jr.($6,900 DK, $6,500 FD)
Trey McBride ($6,000 DK, $6,200 FD)

The Rams did well to slow down Amon-Ra St. Brown and Sam LaPorta last week, but they should be worried about Arizona's top WR-TE duo a little more. McBride will continue to see a big volume of targets, and Harrison is more of a perimeter handful for their coverage. He will also be greased plenty at home as the squeaky wheel.

Week 2 NFL DFS Picks: Top cash game stacks for DraftKings, FanDuel

Best QB-WR stack

Los Angeles Rams
Matthew Stafford ($6,000 DK, $7,600 FD)
Cooper Kupp ($7,600 DK, $7,700 FD)

Stafford will be chucking to Kupp a ton going forward until Puka Nacua (knee) can return. The Cardinals cannot stop Kupp in the slot after getting ripped by the Bills' Khalil Shakir last week. This also figures to be one of the week's highest-scoring games.

Best RB-Defense stack

Indianapolis Colts
Jonathan Taylor ($7,700 DK, $8,200 FD)
D/ST ($3,300 DK, $4,500 FD)

JT was a superstar back at Wisconsin, and this is his first trip to play pro football in the state, two hours up the road from Madison in Green Bay. He also gets to smash a Packers' run defense who just gave up a RB1 overall performance to Saquon Barkley in Sao Paulo. The game script should also be more favorable this week as the Colts could have a field day teeing off on Jordan Love's much shakier fill-in, Malik Willis.
