The year of the kicker is starting to slow down. In Week 5, four different kickers hit multiple field goals of 50-plus yards. In Week 6, that number fell to zero. In fact, only three field goals of this length were made across the entire week.
There was a point in the year where Brandon Aubrey had more fantasy points than Tyreek Hill, CeeDee Lamb, and Patrick Mahomes. That has since changed. If you're a kicking enthusiast, we're sorry for your loss. If you're a normal fantasy manager, the "downfall" of kicker scoring is a joy to see.
Regardless of where you stand on the matter, you'll still have to fill your kicker slot each week. Unless you have one of the elite options, you should be evaluating the position on a weekly basis. For most fantasy managers, this evaluation just needs to be checking in on the Sporting News kicker rankings.

Who are the best fantasy kickers in Week 7?
As is often the case, the highly ranked kickers are attached to high-powered offenses. The logic here is pretty simple; offenses that are able to consistently put together lengthy drives provide kickers with regular scoring opportunities.
We have the kickers from Houston, Kansas City, and Detroit as our top options this week. Ka'imi Fairbairn, Harrison Butker, and Jake Bates are all very strong fantasy options and belong in starting lineups in Week 7.
Younghoe Koo, one of the league's most talented kickers, comes in at K4 this week. He has the leg to line up from anywhere inside of 60 yards and has been a beneficiary of Atlanta's ascending offense. Bengals' kicker Evan McPherson rounds out our top-5 for this week. The quality of Cincinnati's offense and lack of talent on the defensive side of the ball will lead to plenty of shootouts that allow McPherson to rack up points.

Who are the kickers on byes in Week 7?
When it comes to kickers, we don't recommend holding anyone. When it's their bye week, cut bait, pick up another option, and hope you can get them back the following week. Given that guidance, we'll just list the players on bye from each team.
Dallas Cowboys: Brandon Aubrey
Chicago Bears: Cairo Santos
Who are the best fantasy kicker sleepers in Week 7?
Chase McLaughlin is a top-10 kicker this season but is rostered in just 53 percent of Yahoo! leagues. This is the type of player who needs to be rostered and started in almost every league. McLaughlin has scored double-digit points four times this season thanks to the Tampa Bay offense scoring at least 30 points in four games. Baker Mayfield is having a career year and McLaughlin is along for the ride.
The Minnesota Vikings have been one of the teams that have surprised NFL fans and fantasy managers. Sam Darnold, Justin Jefferson, and a stout defense have led the team to an undefeated record. Will Reichard is another kicker who is riding the coattails of their team's success to fantasy relevancy. He's averaging 10.0 PPG and should be in for another strong day in a game with a hefty 49-point total against the Lions.
