NSW blitzed Queensland in Melbourne to take this year's State of Origin series to a decider and, despite history not being on their side, the Blues produced a brilliant display to take the shield off the Maroons on their own turf.

Michael Maguire's men became just the third NSW team to travel to Brisbane and beat QLD and the first in 19 years.

When was the last time NSW won an Origin decider in QLD?

The Blues' previous last victory in a decider on enemy territory came in 2005, before their triumph this year.

A Matt King hat-trick saw NSW claim a commanding 32-10 win at Lang Park in front of over 50,000 fans.
