South Sydney will usher in a new era with a familiar old face as Wayne Bennett returns to Redfern.
Jason Demetriou was axed in 2024 amidst a horror run which saw the Rabbitohs sink to the bottom of the ladder, while star players piled into the casualty ward at an alarming rate.
Bennett had the Bunnies within 80 minutes of a premiership during his final season in charge before heading off to the Dolphins and has a mighty job on his hand to deliver that kind of result during his first season back in the hot seat.

Which players have left the South Sydney Rabbitohs in 2024?
Damien Cook and Tom Burgess headline the list of exits for the Rabbitohs with the two club favourites moving on after extended stays.
Cook was granted an early release from his contract in order to ink a long-term deal at St George Illawarra, while premiership-winning prop Burgess will return to the Super League.
The experienced duo aren't the only ones not to be a part of Bennett's rebuild though with five other players leaving.
Michael Chee Kam and Dean Hawkins are amongst those names with both players moving on elsewhere in the NRL.
