Canberra Raiders vs. New Zealand Warriors prediction, tip, best bet

Despite both the Raiders and Warriors having underwhelming seasons thus far, they are still within touching distance of the top eight.

Canberra are currently riding a four-game losing streak, although their last two defeats have been narrow ones.

They will crucially welcome back Jamal Fogarty at halfback this week, which sees the rapid Kaeo Weekes shift to fullback, and Jordan Rapana move to the wing.

Kurt Capewell has been named to start in the Warriors' second row but will have just one full day of recovery after the Origin decider.

Even if he returns, the absences of Charnze Nicoll-Klokstad and Marcelo Montoya could be too hard to overcome for the away side.

Prediction: Raiders by 8

Best bet: Raiders to win ($1.80)

Newcastle Knights vs. Brisbane Broncos prediction, tip, best bet

The Knights have named centre duo Bradman Best and Dane Gagai in their team list, and their availability will be crucial.

As for the Broncos, they have a host of Origin talent currently named in their reserves, alongside superstar halfback Adam Reynolds.

In the last five games between the teams, the Broncos have won four.

However, at home, the Knights have won four of their last five against Brisbane.

Considering recent form, we could be in for a close affair, although the final team lists may be the difference.

Prediction: Broncos by 6

Best bet: Broncos 1-12 ($3.30)

Melbourne Storm vs. Sydney Roosters prediction, tip, best bet

The Storm have been undermanned for a good chunk of this season but continue to find ways to win.

A stiff test awaits them this week though, as they welcome the red hot Roosters.

Nick Meaney returns from injury for Melbourne, and Harry Grant is also set to feature after two weeks of rest in between Origin.

On paper, you'd say the Roosters have the better team, but the Storm's home form and ability to grind out results is hard to ignore.

They also edged out the Tricolours in Sydney earlier this season, with Craig Bellamy continuing his success in a coaching rivalry with Trent Robinson.

Prediction: Storm by 4

Best bet: Storm +2.5 ($1.90)

Penrith Panthers vs. Dolphins prediction, tip, best bet

Nathan Cleary's return is the biggest story following the release of this week's team lists.

He may not hit the ground running, but his inclusion is still a major boost for a Penrith side that has been a little clunky in attack during his absence.

However, the Panthers will be without workhorses and Origin representatives Dylan Edwards and Isaah Yeo.

As for the Dolphins, they will have a close to full-strength team.

Their loss streak-ending win last round was important, although their lack of defence was concerning.

Expect a well-drilled Penrith team to pile on the points.

Prediction: Panthers by 16

Best bet: Panthers 13+, Izack Tago to score a try ($3.80)
