Jared Waerea-Hargreaves banned for high shot at NRL Judiciary

Jared Waerea-Hargreaves made history in the Roosters big win over the Dragons when he played his 307th game for the Tricolours, a club record.

True to form in his long career, he also found himself in the referee's eyeline during the first half, when he was sent to the sin-bin for a high shot on Feagai.

He was put on report as well as being put in the bin and has since been issued with a three-game ban.

However, he elected to fight the charge at the judiciary, seeking a downgrade.

The prop was unable to convince the panel that the grade two charge should have been lowered though and copped a four-match ban as a result.

Api Koroisau avoids suspension for dangerous contact charge

Api Koroisau avoided suspension after he was put on report during the Wests Tigers' 40-28 loss to Melbourne.

The Tigers skipper made dangerous contact with Jahrome Hughes, when he ran through the Storm No.7's leg after he kicked the ball.

Hughes stayed down momentarily while receiving treatment before he got to his feet and played out the rest of the game.

However, the Tigers rake only received a monetary fine of $1,000 with an early guilty plea.

Jaeman Salmon hit with two-game ban

Bulldogs utility Jaeman Salmon has been hit with a two-game ban after being issued with a grade two dangerous contact charge in his side's win over the Warriors on Saturday.

Salmon hit Te Maire Martin late during the match, controversially going unpenalised, but he was later charged with the offence.

However, Salmon also suffered a fractured jaw, meaning he will be out for six weeks and will serve the suspension during his time recovering from the injury.

Sifa Talakai charged with one-match suspension

Cronulla slipped to their third straight loss against the Gold Coast with matters made worse by Sifa Talakai now facing time on the sidelines.

The backrower hit Sam Verrills high during Friday night's 20-16 loss at Coffs Harbour and was sent to the sin-bin for the contact.

He has since been issued with a grade two careless high tackle charge which carries a one-match ban.

Richie Kennar cops fine in Souths win

Rabbitohs centre Richie Kennar has avoided suspension following a high shot in the first half of his side's win over Parramatta.

Kennar was charged with a grade one careless high tackle.

He'll be fined $1,800 with an early guilty plea.
