St George Illawarra five-eighth Kyle Flanagan could find himself in hot water after Stephen Crichton made an official complaint against him for biting during Canterbury's 28-10 victory.
The Bulldogs captain tackled Flanagan in the second half with the two engaging in a scuffle with each other on the ground before Crichton was allegedly bitten on the nose by the playmaker.
"I don't know what to say about it," Cameron Ciraldo said post-match as he wasn't joined in the press conference by his skipper. "So, I'll just leave it there."
The NRL has subsequently referred Flanagan straight to the judiciary over the incident, citing him for 'dangerous contact'.

Kyle Flanagan bite: Stephen Crichton makes complaint against St George Illawarra Dragons playmaker
Crichton rubbed his face into Flanagan's while he was in possession of the ball but then reeled out of the tackle. The centre was then pictured with blood coming from his nose in the immediate aftermath of the incident.
Clearly angered by the action, Crichton attempted to re-engage with Flanagan at the next break in play as the Dogs forced a drop-out. But he was ushered away by the opposition as play quickly resumed.
Yet Crichton made an official complaint to the NRL after the match had finished as the Dogs claimed their third win in a row to continue their climb up the ladder.
Ciraldo's side now sit in fifth spot and have their sights firmly set on a top-four finish in the final month of the regular season.
It is a remarkable resurgence from the club which hasn't featured in the finals since 2016.
Meanwhile, it was a horror night for the Dragons who are hanging onto their eighth-place spot on the ladder following the defeat.
Shane Flanagan's side entered into the contest full of confidence after their upset win over the Melbourne Storm in Round 22, but were second best against the Bulldogs for the vast majority of the game.
Hame Sele was sent to taken to hospital after complaining of chest pains in the first half, while Moses Suli suffered a knee injury in the second stanza.
And to make matters worse, Kyle Flanagan and the Dragons will now face a nervous wait for the findings of the Match Review Committee.
"That was hard to watch and it's hard evidence," Mal Meninga said as Fox League aired footage of the alleged bite for the first time.
"There’s no doubt that he’s bitten him. And obviously the repercussions of that is Stephen’s nose is bleeding. A pretty hard one to disprove, to be honest with you."
"Kyle Flanagan is in a bit of strife, no doubt about it," Greg Alexander stated.
"Having just watched the vision, there is no doubt his nose ends up in the mouth of Kyle and he decides to shut his teeth around his nose."
