Why has Jack Wighton been moved to five-eighth for the Bunnies? Indigenous Round team lists, kick-off time and how to watch Rabbitohs vs. Eels image

South Sydney and Parramatta meet with the two embattled clubs locking horns in the final match of a Saturday triple-header in Indigenous Round.

The Rabbitohs are anchored to the bottom of the ladder and have won just one game all season, although they did receive a welcome boost during the week with confirmation of Wayne Bennett's return to Redfern.

The Eels were interested in luring Bennett to the club after getting rid of long-term coach Brad Arthur but were unable to do so.

In the battle of the interim coaches, will it be Ben Hornby who grabs his first win as Bunnies coach or will Trent Barrett get the blue and gold up and running in his first game in charge?

Why has Jack Wighton been moved to five-eighth for the Bunnies?

Jason Demetriou's major signing of the off-season was Jack Wighton, who packed up his life after a decade long stay in Canberra in order to join the powerhouse club.

However, it's fair to say things haven't gone to plan with the Bunnies rooted to the bottom of the ladder and Demetriou sacked after just two months of the season.

Wighton was brought to the club as a centre with Demetriou adamant that position was where the former repetitive star would play.

Yet with Lachlan Ilias and Dean Hawkins sidelined with injury and rookie Dion Teaupa dropped after one game, Hornby has returned Wighton to the No.6 jersey.

The 31-year-old has constantly been one of the Rabbitohs' best during his eight matches to date for the club and the interim coach has decided to move him closer to the ball while shifting Cody Walker to halfback.

"Jack inspires players every day," Hornby said last week ahead of Wighton's 250th game milestone in the NRL.

The coach has clearly backed the veteran to pick the struggling side off the canvas and link with Latrell Mitchell and Walker in the spine to try and hand the Bunnies their first win since Good Friday.
