Craig Bellamy ranting and raving in the Melbourne Storm coaching box.

During the legendary coach's 21 years at the Storm, cameras have often panned to the stands mid-game to see Bellamy's anger.

Current assistant coach Todd Lowrie has lifted the lid on what goes on when Bellamy explodes during a match.

And it's just as scary as you would think it would be, but apparently doesn't get delivered directly to the players - most of the time.

“His targets, I think with (Bellamy) when he gets angry it’s anything within reach or distance, he just goes off,” Lowrie said on SENQ Breakfast.

“With Craig, what you see when he’s in the box and the way that he goes on in the box, he doesn’t really bring that down into the sheds very often, unless it’s warranted.

“You might get a couple of times a year where he does that but he certainly doesn’t bring that same behaviour down to the players.

“He’s certainly quite calm and measured most of the time when he’s addressing the players.”

The Storm have wrapped up the NRL's minor premiership and face the Broncos in a dead rubber at Suncorp Stadium on Thursday night.

After resting players during last week's 38-30 loss to the Cowboys, Melbourne are expected to field close to a full-strength team in preparation for finals.

The Storm also boast a staggering record at Brisbane's home venue.

The visitors currently boast a 75 per cent overall win rate at the venue and have won 18 of the 22 games between the sides at the ground.
