A possible exodus from Melbourne could get worse with star forward Kysaiah Pickett interested in a move back to South Australia or Western Australia.
With Christian Petracca reportedly wanting out and Alex Neal-Bullen requesting a trade to Adelaide, Pickett asking for a move would represent a disaster for the Demons.
According to Mitch Cleary, the 23-year-old informed Melbourne of his homesickness during an exit meeting with club officials on Wednesday.

Why Kosi Pickett wants to leave Melbourne
While Pickett hasn't officially requested a trade, it was clear in the meeting the player would move to a club closer to family if Melbourne could facilitate it.
The dynamic forward had his first child in April this year and is keen for support of his family after suffering from homesickness in recent times.
Pickett was born in Western Australia but grew up in South Australia, with family currently in both states.
It is understood that the dynamic forward is not disgruntled with the club or its direction.
Melbourne are currently confident they can help Pickett stay settled in Victoria.
Kosi Pickett's contract status
Pickett signed a four-year contract last season which expires at the conclusion of the 2027 season.
Any club that wants to bring in Pickett would require significant trade capital to prise the star out his Demons contract.
Who could trade for Kosi Pickett?
Port Adelaide seem to be the most likely trade destination for Pickett and were keen on the forward before he signed his previous contract.
However, the Power only hold picks 37 and 55 in the upcoming AFL National Draft meaning they lack capital to satisfy Melbourne.
A possible trade for Dan Houston to Victoria could net Port Adelaide a first-round pick, while the club could trade its future first also.
Adelaide are less likely to make a move for Pickett with Izak Rankine and Josh Rachele already on their list and the impending arrival of Neal-Bullen.
Both the Western Australian clubs also seem unlikely destinations with Fremantle poised to focus on Shai Bolton and West Coast keen to go to the draft.
