The draft will be held over three nights, with the first round coming on day one. Subsequent National Draft rounds will take place on Thursday, November 21.

AFL National Draft 2024 selection order (TBC)
AFL clubs are awarded picks based on ladder position, with the lowest-placed teams given priority in draft selection.
Teams are able to trade picks during the trade period and during draft night, which can see dramatic shifts in selection order.
The AFL draft selection order will be finalised for the bottom eight once the ladder is confirmed at the end of the season, while the top eight will wait until the completion of finals.
AFL National Draft 2024 prospects
While Harley Reid was the clear no.1 pick leading up to the 2023 AFL National Draft, the top selection isn't as clear in 2024.
The current favourite to be selected at no.1 is Victorian midfielder Josh Smillie, who is an inside midfielder with a penetrating kick.
Smillie is the prototype of a modern AFL midfielder with a height of 194cm being taller than a lot of current AFL key position players.
Explosive Victorian midfielder Jagga Smith should also be around the top five, with his ability to explode from stoppages coveted by AFL clubs.
Another Ashcroft is likely on their way to Brisbane with the brother of Will - Levi - tipped to join the Lions in the top five of the draft via the father-son rule.
