Where is Tasmania Devils' new AFL stadium?

Tasmania's new AFL stadium will be located in Macquarie Point in Hobart.

It's location is adjacent to Hobart's CBD and within walking distance.

When will Tasmania Devils' AFL stadium be opened?

Construction of Tasmania Devils' AFL stadium is expected to be completed for the 2028 season.

This will be the first season of the team in AFL competition.

Tasmania Devils' AFL stadium: Capacity, structure, event hosting

Tasmania Devils' stadium at Macquarie Point will be roofed with a projected capacity of 23,000.

It will include:

  • A 1500-person function room with views to Kunanyi/Mount Wellington
  • A design informed by modelling cricket ball trajectory data to ensure the best quality cricket games
  • A stage pocket in the northern stand to support concerts and events, which will minimise impact on the field and reduce costs
  • Accessible design features, including a single continuous concourse that services the whole stadium
  • A seating bowl design will bring crowds closer to the action
  • Separated back of house and catering facilities with a below ground service road to separate vehicles and stadium visitors and users.

What will the name of Tasmania Devils' AFL stadium be?

No name has officially been decided on the stadium set to be built at Macquarie Point.

It is likely to have some sort of naming rights that will be decided in the 12-24 months before it is opened.
