After years of speculation, hoping and campaigning, Tasmania has officially announced their very own AFL franchise.
Aptly named the Tasmania Devils, the league's newest team was unveiled Monday night, with the team's name, logo, and guernsey being revealed for the first time.
As could be expected, fans were quick to sign up, with the team already registering immense interest.

But how can eager supporters of this new team become members themselves?
How to buy a Tasmania Devils football club membership
For Tasmanian AFL fans wanting to get in on the ground floor, founding member tickets are now available on the Devils website.
Tasmania Devils membership total
According to the Devils, they'd already registered over 150,000 founding members in their first few days of existence.
You did this. Everyone who bought a Founding Membership, whether for themselves, a friend, a yet-to-be-born baby or a family member who is no longer with us. Now there’s a brand-new community of you—150,000—who can say "we are the team." We're humbled and grateful. Thank you. pic.twitter.com/orp1rDae9Q

How much does a Tasmania Devils membership cost?
A founding member ticket will not break the bank for AFL fans, costing just $10.
This will give the member a digital founding membership card, a founding member sticker, and their name represented in some way in the training and administration ground, with the site stating "we are not exactly sure how we will do it yet, but we can guarantee you your name will be there forever."
When will the Tasmania Devils join the AFL?
While Monday night's events officially unveiled what the AFL's 19th franchise will look like, it will still be some time before we see them on a football field.
The Tasmania Devils are set to enter the AFL in 2028, giving themselves a four-year on-ramp to properly prepare for the task.
What jumper will the Tasmania Devils wear?
Currently, the Devils traditional home and away jumpers have yet to be released, with a reveal set for 'down the track', according to SEN's David Lithgow.
Just for clarity purposes. The Jumper reveal from last night featuring the famous map of Tassie foundation jumper will be worn sparingly, perhaps once or twice a year.

The home and away Devils jumpers will be the mainstay.
They will be released later down the track in due…
The team had revealed a jumper featuring the "state’s traditional myrtle green, primrose yellow and rose red colours, with the iconic map of the island and ‘T’ to be emblazoned across the front of the club’s foundation jumper," according to an AFL press release, but this has been confirmed to be a foundation jumper which will only be worn sparingly.

Many AFL fans were not happy with the initial suggestion that the foundation jumper would be the team's main look, with criticism coming from people claiming that it was a state-representative design that should not be used by the professional team.
