AFL Tips Round 24: Betting preview, odds and predictions image

Geelong will get a nice tune-up for finals against lowly West Coast at GMHBA Stadium on Saturday.

The Suns are primed for their second away win a row, while the Dockers look the goods at home.

Below are The Sporting News’ betting predictions and best bets for Round 24.

Geelong vs. West Coast prediction, tip, best bet

West Coast showed they have checked out of 2024 with a huge loss to a depleted Carlton.

Things won't go well for them at the Cattery and a 53.5 line seems low for what could happen.

Geelong look to be value at the line and you could even push it out a few more points if you choose.

Prediction: Geelong by 75 points

Best bet: Geelong -53.5 ($1.90)

Richmond vs. Gold Coast prediction, tip, best bet

In a simple numbers game of personnel, Gold Coast will be able to field a far more competitive team than Richmond.

It's just a case of whether the Suns will underperform being away from home.

Surely a Damien Hardwick rocket after last week's loss will mean they get the job done at the MCG.

Prediction: Gold Coast by 20 points

Best bet: Gold Coast -10.5 ($1.90)

Fremantle vs Port Adelaide prediction, tip, best bet

Fremantle were impressive in stretching GWS on the road last week and will be motivated with a win giving them a chance at finals.

Port Adelaide will be missing Dan Houston, who provides a lot of their drive and creativity out of defence.

Backing the team at home with the greater motivation is the solid play here.

Prediction: Fremantle by 8 points

Best bet: Fremantle -1.5 ($1.90)
