There can be no doubt remaining at this point: Liv Morgan is one of the most diabolical minds in the history of WWE programming. What she was able to accomplish at Summerslam in Cleveland was a payoff that was months in the making, effectively detonating the entire Judgment Day faction on her Revenge Tour against Rhea Ripley.

Having staged a fake breakup and humiliation with “Dirty” Dominik Mysterio in July on an episode of RAW, one that supposedly sent her into scorned woman mode, that tide turned and washed Ripley away at Summerslam when he “accidentally” cost Ripley the chance to regain her title.

Turns out, it wasn’t accidental at all, evidenced by the kiss he laid on Liv Morgan after the match was over — the WWE Women’s World Champion then taking to social media to put the nail in the coffin.

“Everything you love is mine,” she wrote.

It’s exactly what Morgan set out to do when she returned from a months-long hiatus caused by an injury inflicted by Ripley, and she methodically walked down Ripley’s entire faction by first injuring Ripley and forcing her to vacate her title, then taking it from Becky Lynch with the assistance of Dom, then softening Finn Balor and JD McDonough to her cause by winning them the tag team titles.

Achieving the latter also created a simmering air between Balor and Damian Priest, one that exploded at Summerslam when Balor turned on Priest and cost him the WWE Heavyweight Championship against Gunther.

So, yeah, Morgan took everything from Ripley: the belt, the boy toy and the faction.

Revenge really is a dish best served cold and, in Morgan’s case, from inside of an ice box.
