WWE Speed Results (07/24/24): Andrade tries to hold off Barin Corbin in title match image

He’s had his hands busy lately with both WWE Speed and his determination to send a message to Carmelo Hayes on the most recent episode of SmackDown, one the rookie first-round pick received loud and clear, but Andrade is not letting anything distract him to the point of costing him his WWE Speed title.

Of course, Barin Corbin wanted a word with him about it.

Corbin fought his way through the latest tournament, defeating the likes of Xavier Woods, to earn a title match with Andrade and it made for quite the matchup — seeing as Andrade, a legendary luchador, is designed to thrive in this type of format while Corbin, a former boxer and resident large human, isn’t necessarily.

The latter put up a valiant fight though, one that had Andrade wide-eyed on a couple of occasions throughout the five-minute fight (reminder: the title match is always two minutes longer than the tournament matches).

Corbin’s power came in hand a time or three against the high-flying Andrade, who isn’t exactly lacking for power himself.

In the end, Andrade was simply too much for Corbin, taking the win with less than 60 seconds remaining, sending Corbin home and keeping the Speed title on his waist for at least a few more weeks.
