It's been a bad couple of weeks for Canada on the world stage if we're being honest. First Drake got absolutely bodied by the boogeyman, Kendrick Lamar, in their back-and-forth rap beef during the transition from April to May. Then some super-scary weather events caught the world's attention.

Things started to take a turn for the better this past weekend, though, when at Clash at the Castle in Glasgow, Scotland, Toronto's finest Sami Zayn defended his Intercontinental Championship with a win over Chad Gable. With the next PLE in Zayn's backyard, he's going to be front and center, including a recently named side event to the weekend.

WWE announced on Monay that Zayn will debut his comedy show Sami Zayn & Friends Do Toronto on Thursday, July 4 at 8 p.m. ET from The Danforth Music Hall in Toronto as part of WWE’s massive Money In The Bank weekend.

Sami Zayn & Friends Do Toronto is a comedy and variety show featuring guests from the worlds of comedy, television and WWE.

Money In The Bank will feature WWE’s biggest Superstars as they battle to earn a briefcase containing a contract for a championship match at a time and place of their choosing anytime within the next year.
