Business is picking up for AEW and, more specifically, the Hurt Business. That’s because the expected is now the official, with Bobby Lashley departing WWE and putting pen to paper in signing with AEW, per Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful, a move that immediately reunites him with MVP — who also left WWE in 2024 for Tony Khan’s promotion.
Lashley’s move also comes on the heels of the AEW debut of Shelton Benjamin, and there are reports that MVP will indeed serve as manager for both Benjamin and Lashley, a reunion of The Hurt Business that’s long been absent from professional wrestling.

Both MVP and Lashley had grown disgruntled with their roles, and in the case of MVP, a total lack thereof, within WWE; and an injury to Lashley took him off of programming altogether over the last several months, having managed The Street Profits just prior to the absence while wrestling sporadically.
But with the future Hall of Famer now fully healthy and ready to re-enter the ring, it won’t be Triple H he’s doing it for, it’ll be for Khan and Co.; and don’t rule out a possible addition of former AEW Champion Swerve Strickland to the mix for The Hurt Business — seeing as MVP is actively trying to recruit him away from Prince Nana.
In the meantime, for AEW, the All Mighty has arrived.
